General Information
Pharmacy comprises the development and production as well as the application and mode of action of drugs and medicines. As a result of this interdisciplinarity, the first two years of the curriculum convey the foundations in chemistry, biology, and medicine, and to a lesser extent mathematics and physics. Based on this, the emphasis evolves towards more pharmacy-specific topics. Further information on the pharmacy curriculum at the University of Bonn is available here.
"Clinical pharmacy is the discipline of pharmacy that, based on pharmaceutical and natural scientific knowledge, focuses on optimising the use of medicines in and by patients."
